Let me whine for a moment about the cold? I need this. I’m currently typing away on my keyboard, shivering as the heater in my office continues to fail at its one job.

After six months in chilly Ballarat, I now fully believe the rumour about ineffective insulation in homes around Australia. In an effort to warm my bones, I’m listening to ‘cozy coffee shop ambience with crackling fireplace - smooth jazz’ on YouTube.

There’s something about pianos and pretend flames that works for writing.
